PYTHON IN THE SNOW. I was in Japan recently for a break from the city life, to ski and for inspiration. What better place than Niseko, where the snow capped mountain and falling snow gives off this almost magical vibe. I was in wonderment the entire time we were there. Everything there was a source of inspiration, the people, the amazing food, the atmosphere. Needless to say the sketch book was full of ideas. And of course I brought the python ( bag of course ) to play in the snow, to see how exotics handle the falling powder and am to happy to say the Deanna fared very well and looked amazing throughout. My trusty travel companion :) it was stuffed with gloves, hat, hand cream, lip balm, sketchbook, guidebook, story books, iPad and sometimes I managed to squeeze a bottle of mineral water in too. A place I would go to again in a heart beat.

All our favourites seem to start with M. Now its Michelle Williams in this stunning coral gown by Louis Vuitton that she wore to the Oscars. Been meaning to put this photo up for a while now, finally found time right now, the combination of different textures, pleats and layers makes her the best dressed in our books and of course the peplum! Yup we’re a bit obsessed right now. How hot is this dress?! *LOVE*

Malaysia International Fashion Week 2011
We had a press conference yesterday announcing our runway show slots for the Malaysia International Fashion Week. For our official debut, we have been invited to be part of both the High Tea and the Gala slot sharing the runway with exciting dress label Noni Reynders. We will be debuting our much anticipated new collection so watch this space for more exciting news from us and maybe a sneak peek ;) Now back to the grind! xx
We have always loved Elie Saab and he has done it again with his SS2012. Skinny waist cinching belts being a feature in all if not most of the pieces that came down the runway. Elegant silhouettes, gorgeous shiny pretty details and play on textures, and lace.. we like lace! we love love Elie Saab and would wear him all the time if we could, you know.. to just lounge on our sofa or sit at the desk to write blog entries or while designing and planning upcoming collections for saku. You’re visualising doing that yourself now aren’t you? These are our top picks that we would wear with our upcoming collection which we can’t show you yet. A surprise under wraps! :) xx

Malaysia International Fashion Week 2011
The Malaysia International Fashion Week is around the corner and there’s been a shift to high gear here at saku. Yup we will be on the runway this year! Debuting our much anticipated heritage collection, the team is working very hard in making sure everything is perfect when we show. So watch this space for updates and sneak peeks on our collection. xx
Style rocking
The annual Style Rocks party by the Melium Group was held on Wednesday at Euphoria and our very own creative director was asked to strut her stuff down the runaway for the Friends of Melium segment. Sharing the runway that night were celebs, models,tv hosts, DJs, socialites, fashion icons,singers, beauty queens,restauranteurs and all round fun and stylish people of Kuala Lumpur. It was a fun night with everyone showing their fun side on the catwalk and with the first ever heritage collection saku clutch in tow - if you were there, you would have gotten a peek, our creative director together with her sister, sometime muse and collaborator, rocked it in Custo and Hale Bob.
